Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi to leave club after Manchester United clash
De Zerbi, who has been in charge of Brighton since September 2022, has decided to leave after the club failed to qualify for Europe.
The Italian coach has been linked with a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich and Juventus.
Brighton chief executive Paul Barber said: "Roberto has been a great asset to the club and we are disappointed to see him leave. He is a talented manager and we wish him all the best for the future."
De Zerbi said: "I have had a fantastic time at Brighton and I am grateful for the opportunity to have managed such a great club. I have made the decision to leave after careful consideration and I believe it is the right one for me and my family."
De Zerbi's departure will come as a blow to Brighton, who have made significant progress under his leadership. The club finished ninth in the Premier League last season, their highest ever finish, and reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
It is unclear where De Zerbi will go next, but he is likely to be in high demand given his impressive record at Brighton.
