Italian Coach Bids Farewell to Seagulls After 10 Months in Charge
Brighton Hove Albion have announced that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will depart the club at the conclusion of their current campaign. The decision was made by mutual agreement between the Italian and the English Premier League outfit.
De Zerbi took the reins at Brighton in September 2022, replacing the axed Graham Potter. Under his stewardship, the Seagulls have registered a respectable record, sitting ninth in the league standings as the season reaches its climax.
However, it is understood that both De Zerbi and Brighton's hierarchy felt it was not the right fit for the long term. The club is now expected to embark on a search for a new head coach ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
