USA Basketball Dominates Olympics, Set to Compete in Paris
16 Gold Medals Since 1936
The United States has been a dominant force in Olympic basketball since the first Games were held in 1936. Since then, the team has medaled in 19 Olympics, winning 16 gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals.
Strong Track Record at World Cup
The USA Men's Basketball team has also had a strong track record at the FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup. They have won the tournament five times and will compete in the Paris Olympics this summer.
